Meet the 2024 Strolling Thunder Families

Every child deserves a strong start in life. But not all babies and their families share the same opportunities.

“Families are the most important economic and social units in any society, but we’re struggling to stay afloat with all the financial pressures of raising a child,” said Cruz, a 2024 Strolling Thunder parent.

The story of America’s babies is complex. Public policy can help, but policies have not kept up to meet the needs of today’s parents and caregivers.

“Congress needs to know that many families, like ours, have two caregivers who are gainfully employed, yet still find finding affordable child care to be a real hardship,” said Katie, a 2024 Strolling Thunder parent.

Families from every state and the District of Columbia are coming to Washington, DC on April 30, 2024 to share the challenges they face and call on Congress to build a better future for infants, toddlers and their families.

Meet the Strolling ThunderTM baby representing your state!

We must make the potential of every baby our national priority through policies that promote good health, strong families and positive early learning experiences because when families succeed, we all succeed. Our future depends on it.
