Travel and Packing Tips Driving Tips
Checking in for your flights: In the confirmation email from our travel agent (Travel, Inc.) there should be an airline confirmation number or code. Use that number or code to check in for your flights using the airline’s website or app.
Strolling Thunder tasks to do today:
- Complete relevant forms. We sent you a participant survey and waivers to sign via email.
- Look out for your gift card in the mail. It will be in a plan white envelope.
- Register for upcoming virtual happy hours.
- Wednesday, May 14, at 8:00pm EST – this one will be focused on travel tips and questions.
- Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 12:00pm EST
- Practice sharing your story. We are just a few weeks away from your meetings with Members of Congress. Ensure you are prepared and confident in sharing your story. Reach out to your family liaison if you would like some practice time with us!
- Post on social media. Share with your social networks that you’re coming to DC to represent your state at Strolling Thunder!

Monday, May 19
8:30 – 10 a.m. Welcome Breakfast, Hilton
10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. Advocacy Training, Hilton
(travel companion and kids will have free time)
2 – 5 p.m. Sightseeing Tour, buses leave from Hilton
(limited to pre-identified families)
6 – 7:30 p.m. Pajama Party (optional), Hilton
Tuesday, May 20
7 – 9:30 a.m. Breakfast, Hilton
8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Meetings on Capitol Hill
12 – 1 p.m. Rally, Upper Senate Park
5:30 – 7 p.m. Family Dinner, Hilton
